TASTE OF PHILADELPHIA BRINGS DELECTABLE CUISINE AND INCREDIBLE MUSICAL PERFORMANCES TO PENN’S LANDING
Indulge in scrumptious local cuisine while enjoying music by a host of awesome local performers during Wawa Welcome America’s Taste of Philadelphia. Featured top restaurants include: Capital Grille, Dave and Busters, Hard Rock Café, Tony Lukes and many more.
Taste of Philadelphia, Wawa Welcome America’s signature culinary event, kicks off ten spectacular days of festival programming starting Friday, June 25 through Monday, July 5.
“Philadelphia is the only place to be during the 4th of July,” said Mayor Michael Nutter. “Wawa Welcome America! offers all the entertainment, history, culture, and fun that families hope to find in the summer and it’s all here in the city where our nation began.”
A Philadelphia tradition for a number of years, Taste of Philadelphia offers visitors a fine dining experience at fast food prices. While enjoying the sights at Penn’s Landing, guests can sample many of the mouth-watering dishes that make Philadelphia famous while enjoying the music of some of the city’s hottest talent. During the evening of June 26, the base thumping sounds of funk pop ensemble Morris Day and The Time will fill the air.
“When “The Bird” plays on the radio, people of all backgrounds and generations turn the volume up and jam,” said Mayor Michael Nutter. “I’m sure they’ll have the crowd moving to their hits.”
The concert will be followed by a spectacular fireworks display that will color the sky over the Delaware River.

Interested in sampling cuisine from the region’s best chefs? Join us for the opening of three days of Taste of Philadelphia. Come and try amazing dishes from some of the most popular restaurants in the city and find new favorite menu items! Stroll the waterfront while you’re “dining” and listen to local musical performers.

Taste of Philadelphia continues with its first full day of music, food and fun! Sample some of the best cuisine in the city. There’s music all day to enjoy and help you keep your appetite up. Stay for our evening concert starring Morris Day and the Time and the fabulous fireworks display.

Penn’s Landing
Brush off your bird dance, take one last look in the mirror and head to Penn’s Landing to hear Morris Day & The Time perform “The Bird”, “Jungle Love” and all their greatest hits. Following the concert will be a fabulous fireworks show, presented by the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation.

The "Hip-Hop Pastor," Hezekiah Walker, graces Taste of Philadelphia with a free concert presented by Praise 103.9, Philadelphia’s Inspiration Station. Blending the sounds of Gospel and Hip-Hop, Hezekiah Walker and the Love Fellowship Crusade Choir will surely have you out of your seat!
